The entire world is gearing up for the upcoming pilgrimage of Pope Francis to the Holy Land. Pilgrims and tourists visiting Israel before, during or after the visit (May 25-26, 2014) are invited to a very special exhibition: "1964-2014 Paul VI in the Holy Land," under the auspices of the Custody of the Holy Land. The exhibition, which is free of charge, will remain open through June 30, 2014.
The exhibition, which can be viewed at two locations, commemorates the historic journey of Pope Paul VI fifty years ago, with images and testimonies from that time. The May 2014 pilgrimage by Pope Francis is designed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the historic meeting between Pope Paul VI and Orthodox Christian spiritual leader Ecumenical Patriarch Atengora in Jerusalem.
The exhibition at the Saint Saviour Monastery at the New Gate in the Old City features 14 panels with text and photographs from Pope Paul VI’s visit. The exhibition is open Monday through Saturday, from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm (closed Sundays).
Reservations for groups should be made in advance by calling +972-2-6266563, e‑mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
