Winter in Israel
is the perfect time
for a pilgrimage
Winter in Israel is a far cry from European or North American winters. Daytime temperatures generally don’t drop below 12°C in most areas. Snow birds looking for a respite from the cold come to Israel every year. The short winter (December – March) and relatively balmy weather make Israel a very appealing destination – for tourists and pilgrims alike.
So, if you want to visit the holy Christian sites in Israel, winter is a terrific opportunity to do so. And, since prices are usually lower in winter, check with your travel agent to see if there are any special deals. |

On February the second, the Catholic Church celebrated the Feast of the Presentation of Jesus to the Temple, "And when the day came for them to be purified in keeping with the Law of Moses, they took him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord" (Luke 2:22)*.
Today, you have the opportunity on your pilgrimage to go back in time and see a portion of the GRAND STAIRS that led to the Holy Temple by visiting the Jerusalem Archeological Park. These stairs were part of the principal entrance to the Temple complex.
