The central event of the Christian Friends of Israel’s 25th Anniversary Conference. Twelve hundred participants will march towards the Dung Gate and Huldah Steps recreating the spirit of the Biblical parade of pilgrims, bearing the offerings of the First Gifts to the Temple.
The birth of St. John the Baptist in Ein Kerem: In the New Testament, St. John is the son of the priest Zacharias and the barren Elizabeth, who conceived after a divine promise that she and her husband would have a son (Luke 1:57-80).

The Church of St. John the Baptist, Ein Kerem-St. John the Baptist’s birth is celebrated in the crypt inside the church, built on the site of the house of Zacharias in Ein Kerem. A Mass is held in the church to celebrate the day.
